Hi, I’m Shenita — and welcome to Crossroads and Catalysts.
This podcast was born out of a season where I had to pause and ask myself some honest questions after a couple of career setbacks: Do I really want to lead? More importantly, do I have what it takes? What impact do I really want to make? And what’s keeping me from stepping fully into that? Setbacks have a way of making you question things you thought were a foregone conclusion.
Somewhere in that reflection, I realized something important:
My career — and my leadership journey — was entirely up to me.
No title, no workplace culture, and no gatekeeper could decide that for me nor prevent me from excelling at something that I had already proven I could do.
I always loved listening to podcasts, but I never imagined hosting one — until now. There’s something about the intimacy of audio—the space it creates for honest conversation, reflection, and real growth—that felt like the perfect fit for the dialogue I wanted to spark. And the moment I sat behind the mic, I knew I’d found the right lane.
Crossroads and Catalysts is my way of helping leaders and aspiring leaders navigate the moments that shape us — the pivots, the tensions, the opportunities, and the tough decisions we often face alone. Here, we talk about what leadership really requires, not just what looks good on a résumé or sounds impressive in a meeting.
My hope is simple: That each episode gives you clarity, direction, and the confidence to lead with purpose and take charge of your career— wherever you are on your journey.
Thanks for being here.
